One, the two mystery buttons on my steering wheel, which I figured were either for the cruise control or the audio/phone, are actually for the Tiptronic tranny! Yup, instead of paddle shifters, I have button shifters, which are great for downshifting to slow down on ice without taking a hand off the wheel.
Two, my car has front and rear parking sensors. I never knew this, because they were deactivated, but I discovered it was so equipped after locating the sesnors on the front and rear, and then reading in the manual and several other places that the "acoustic parking assist" came standard. The only problem? The button for switching it back on has been replaced by the MP3 audio jack, and I can't find the new button. How the hell do I turn the sensors back on?

Try pressing the aux jack in? Literally the only thought I have.

That's basically the best button idea ever.

What's the switch next to it for?

The one with the line and the circle switches the stereo from radio/CD to aux.

Weird. I'd personally find an aux jack more useful than parking sensors. Actually, the thought of using parking sensors from the early 2000s sounds as bad as using nav from the early 2000s. I just imagine them beeping at nothing.

The technology for those has't really changed.

It was great to discover it had it, because it's a must have for me and would've cost hundreds to have installed myself.

i bet if you pry the black plastic surround that houses the aux jack and rocker switch you'll find the parking sensor switch floating around behind there.
